Senior Adults

Through their consistent walk with the Lord and their maturity in the faith, our senior adults are an inspiration to us. Many of them continue to be involved in the ministries of our church, and we are grateful for all they do.

The purpose of our Senior Adult Ministry is to encourage fellowship between our members and provide them with various opportunities for service and worship. If you are a senior adult, please take some time to look at some of the opportunities we offer below, and we invite you to come and be a part of our group. We believe you will find your place among us, and we will make you feel right at home!

Prime Time Monthly Fellowship Luncheon

Prime Time meets on the first Tuesday of each month. Each attender is asked to bring a vegetable, salad or desert, and a main dish is provided for $1.00 each. The luncheon begins at noon, and includes a program featuring a musician or an informative speaker. Prime Time is a great way to get to know Senior Adults beyond those in your Sunday School class.

Prime Time Singers (Senior Adult Choir)

Prime Time Singers is open to anyone of any age, but consists primarily of singers sixty-five and older. They rehearse each Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30. Prime Time Singers often sing in area retirement centers and nursing homes. They also participate in May-Him, the local Senior Adult Choir Festival, held at Camp Bethany each May, and occasionally in state-wide senior adult choir festivals. They also sing in morning services from time to time. No prior choral experience is required.

Monthly Trips & Activities

A committee plans a variety of monthly trips and activities throughout the year. Some trips are local part-day trips. Others may be farther away and take the whole day. About twice a year overnight trips are planned. These have included destinations such as Branson, MO, Lafayette, New Orleans, & St. Francsiville, LA, and Granbury, Ft. Worth, and San Antonio, TX. Sign up for trips are conducted through Prime Time or the church office.
